 As CTE has expanded, the company now employs over 225 employees who are all vital to the success of the company’s operation, and bring years of experience within the industry. The installation team has, on average, over 18 years of experience in crane and equipment installation. Many of CTE’s sales, service, and installation employees have come from leading manufactures such as Terex, Pioneer, Genie, Caterpillar, Altec, and others, to deliver top quality equipment and service throughout the United States, and beyond.
THE ROSS FAMILY
Fred Ross has been in the truck equipment and crane industry for over 30 years. Considered one of the nation’s leading experts in the business, and recognized as Kansas City’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Fred built CTE to become one of the largest vocational truck equipment companies in the U.S. His knowledge and experience ensures CTE supplies the right trucks, correct specifications, and most competitive prices to customers throughout the country, and his passion for the industry drives CTE’s success and dedication to its customers.
Along with the direction from Fred, other members of the Ross family manage and support the entire CTE operation, driving the company from its beginnings in 1996 as Custom Body LLC to the superstore it is today. Chris Ross, Vice President of Operations, manages the overall service and assembly operations of the company; Joe Ross, Vice President of Sales, directs the sales force; and Jim Ross, Chief Financial Officer, manages the company’s finances. The family operation does not stop with the four executives, however. From sales to administration the company is supported by more members of the Ross family including Vince, John, Lil’ Chris, Ruth, Marie, and Francis Ross.
